The land has now officially been settled and our long road to a mountain of debt has commenced :-)
Everything was finalised as at 2.45pm today and we are already making plans to head out to the block on the weekend for more photos and to see how the fencing is going.
Our slightly modified plans have come back from the builder and he is still working on our wish list (aka list of demands) and we hope to get firmer idea on our build price by the end of this week.
We now have samples of tiles for the floors and bathrooms along with caesarstone for the benches. We have since been busy working on our preferred colour scheme, which at the moment looks like Havana Basalt for the floors, white gloss for the bathroom walls and a glass tile mosaic for the shower niches. There is one more Caesarstone sample for the Oyster colour which we think is the one we will go with for the benchtops.
It looks like we may also go with the option to have 2 x 600mm under bench ovens, our current oven just isn’t big enough and it will give us the chance to cook a lovely roast in one and dessert in the other without the dessert soaking in the meat smell.
So things are ticking along at the moment, we really want to get the building cost sorted so we can finalise the finance for that and get the slab down.
