An early Christmas present

Please mum & dad can I have a new house for Christmas?
Yippeeeee!!!

We have our appointment date for the new home proposal at Plantation - Thursday the 9th of December is the big day.

Finally we feel like something is happening, it will be great to see the siting and plans for the house and get a better idea of costs. The consultant mentioned that they would need to do more research on costs as we are in bushfire zone and they need to check if there are any special requirements we need to meet - hopefully there isn't we don't want to make too many cuts to the current design.

Once we have the siting plan we can take that to the Kam Constructions to start the application processes for the shed and maybe get that in before any of the site works happen for the house.

We have submitted the paperwork to get the extension of the home loan approval so that should be back soon with any luck.

We've been trying to keep ourselves busy with non-spending things at the moment but of course with Christmas approaching everyone is having big sales on this and we have been contemplating the idea of snapping up one of the big LCD TV's that are on special lately to go in the lounge, we are resisting for now on the logic that things will be better and cheaper by the time we move in to the new house and we should wait till then.

One of the non-spending activities Mrs BBR has been doing is baking, last week was Gingerbread Men for a work farewell and the week before that was a yummy Red Velvet Cake for a dessert at a friend’s BBQ

With a surprise inside

Mr BBR has been doing work from home this weekend, accruing enough time to take the 3 days between Xmas and New Year off without using annual leave.

We also watched a couple of movies over the weekend, the first was Get Him to the Greek a comedy with Russell Brand and Jonah Hill which we though was quite good for a laugh and the other was The A-Team a bit of mindless action but probably not something we would recommend watching again or buying, the TV series was much better.

Miss BBR spent most of the weekend in the follow position
