We were also really surprised to find that the oven and cooktop had been installed as we were expecting that they wouldn't have been done until handover, but still it was good to see them in.
All up the progress to report this week is:
-- Light fittings 99% installed
-- Home theatre painting almost complete
-- Smoke alarms installed
-- Extractor fans in bathrooms and laundry installed
-- Powerpoints and light switches installed
-- Bathroom mirrors installed
-- Bath in main bathroom installed
-- Showerheads and showerscreens installed
-- Bathroom sinks and taps installed
-- Ovens,microwave, cooktop and rangehood installed

A big thumbs up to Palmline Electrical too for being good enough to do the cutouts for our speaker wire wall plates in the home theatre whilst they were installing the lights.
What we think still needs to be done:
-- Spa bath to be installed in main ensuite
-- Painting home theatre, stairway and exterior
-- Dishwasher to be installed
-- Aircon fitout
-- Plumbing
-- Carpet
-- PV panels for solar power
-- glass shelves in the showers
-- Toilet roll holders and towel rails
-- hanging of the remaining doors
-- Door handles
