I feel the earth move under my feet

Work has commenced on the outside of the house while we unpack inside, due to the slope of the block we have a huge amount of earth to move around to make the most of our outdoor areas and of course to prepare for the shed slab.

So early last week we had a huge excavator and bobcat onsite moving around everything ready for the shed slab, our outdoor entertainment area and the side of the house where we are planning to plant fruit trees and some vegie planter boxes.

Here are some shots to give you an idea of the huge task that was at hand, we were lucky that no dirt actually had to be removed from the site as we were able to use it to bring up the level on the side of the house.

and again

slowly getting there

The slab is now down (see future posts) and we are waiting on the shed to be erected which should be within the next few days.
