We went out to the block today and had a lovely picnic under the shade of one of the many trees, amazing considering the rain Brisbane has had over the last couple of weeks.

While there we were able to see that the side and back fencing has now been completed and we can get a true feel for how big the block really is.

We also think that we spotted the drill holes for the soil test while we were there so fingers crossed that is the case and we will get the results soon.

We also got our "Welcome to Plantation" email this week, 3 weeks after signing up. We're not sure if this the normal timing or not, but at least we know we are on their system and can expect some progress soon.

In other "house" news we purchased a new fridge freezer yesterday after holding off as long as we could after our fridge side of the previous fridge/freezer died 2 months ago - thank god for having a bar fridge.

After a couple of weeks research we decided on the Samsung SRS691GDIS with inbuilt icemaker and filtered water, after a little bit of bargaining we got it for our goal price including next day delivery, 5 year warranty and the removal of our old fridge, plus as a bonus we were able to pay by AMEX which meant we got reward points too!

Now we will also know the measurements needed for the fridge space in the new house.
