Give me an M!

Soil test results are back! We are an M (well at least the block's soil is) which is good because at least that was the type of soil budgeted for in the quote.

The surveyors noted that the site may also be a P in parts "due to trees of potential influence to proposed foundations, existing trees may have caused abnormal soil moisture conditions" but overall we are happy and glad that it is not an H or an E block.

We also sent through some pricing and change requests to our sales consultant to see if we can get them included in the quote, most we little things like adding more outdoor taps by we have also asked about changing around the master suite, rearranging the ensuite for bed 4 and adding a tall cupboard to the laundry

Here are the original drawings for the master suite layout and Bed 4:

And this is what we would like to change it to:

Master suite - have 2 x 720mm entry doors and create a his & hers wardrobe space behind the bed, we are planning on fitting out the wardrobe ourselves with custom shelving and drawers.

Bed 4 - remove 1 door from the hall to the ensuite and rearrange the items in the ensuite:

In the laundry we have asked to add a tall cupboard on the left hand side and we will then place a vertical freezer in the space on the right hand side with a network rack for the cabling above that.

So we will see what response we get in regards to this hopefully it is positive, we feel that the changes are a better use of space and suit us better.

We are off to check out some shed tomorrow morning, so that will be an interesting exercise to see just how big 100m2 is and what options we should add, I think a carport will be sueful but might not quite fit within the covenants unfortunately.
