With work slowing down on the house we decided that it was time to explore the display homes again to get design ideas for when we move in.
We managed to find some designs that were similar to what we are going like the stair lights below:
We really like these feature panels, they were a rusted metal of some kind (will check with Mr BBR on what they were)
A nice little Bali hut with water feature, we thought this would be a great relaxation area in our backyard.
We are thinking of getting similar wood screens to be put on the sides of the alfresco areas and we really liked the wallmounted candle holders made of iron
A nice feature paint job with the suede look
One of the study/sitting rooms, we like its freshness but it probably won't go with the rest of our design ideas
A nice big kitchen, similiar to ours with the island bench and overhead cupboards
We thought this was a great patio design, the inset BBQ has some nice stackstone too. We are definitely going to go with wooden decking in our alfresco and patio :-)
A feature wall in the master bedroom, we are thinking that we will do something similar to breakup our neutral colour scheme but it will more likely be a blue painted wall to be "calming"
Some nice planter boxes
We thought this was a nice clean facade with carefully chosen plants (as you would expect from a display home)
Another fresh looking room
This was a media room in one of the houses
Another great outdoor room, the planter box seating was pretty cool
We also spotted a house with our Perisher bricks and similar cladding :-)
Master bedroom with feature backwall and open ensuite
A fantastic butlers pantry complete with sink and wine cooling fridge, a girl can only dream.....
This design had some really good indoor/outdoor flow
Some more garden design ideas
This would be an awesome water feature, hate to think of the cost though!
And a great lap pool
This was a dream ensuite with a huge spa over looking a balcony, though probably a little bit too open plan
Full credit to Mr BBR for the photography.
