Small steps

A little bit of progress since the weekend, but unfortunately no sign of a frame yet.  The dirt around the slab has now been spread out a little bit more evenly ready for the next part of construction

With the redistribution of the dirt around the slab we have had our first casualty of the construction phase :( ... one of the downpipes near the alfresco area suffered a fatal blow - we'll have to make sure that is pointed out to the site supervisor for replacement

We also have more of a driveway with the arrival of some crushed rock, we are guessing this is to help with the workmen getting better access to the site, it lines up well with the garage entry so it might serve us well as a temporary driveway if we need it when we move in.

No word yet on the rock excavation costs, but they should be in any day now.


And speaking of costs, the bank has officially paid the 10% for the base stage to Plantation, it actually only took 2 days for them to process so pretty quick on their behalf.
