Bricks & mud

The bricking is now almost half way done and we expect it to be finished in the next day or so, here are some more progress pics:

We went out on the weekend to put through the audio cables for the home theatre and other rooms ready for the gyprock which is due to be put up in about a weeks time, the network cables will go in next weekend and we should be all set.

The first bit of rain in a long time fell on Friday night making it quite muddy out at the block, I think we managed to bring half of it home with us on our shoes….. since the garage roof hasn’t been put on yet there was also a bit of flooding in there and the laundry area, hopefully that has disappeared now.

***Warning rant below*****

I got a call from the aircon installers late last week and was given a completely different story from the one our SS gave me in regards to the placement of the tubing and vents for our system.

The aircon guy advised that they were happy to come out and have a look at where we wanted the vents and redo as necessary at no charge and that we were right to believe that the plumbing stacks were meant to be where the tubing runs through.

He also stated that they would have never put tubing through wardrobes and other storage areas without checking/getting the OK from the SS (who is meant to also get the OK from us) which did not happen in our case, so we are pretty peeved about the fact that our SS just tried to palm it off when we suspect that he approved for them to go through the wardrobe and linen and that we weren’t consulted and have since had to take time of work to try and get it sorted grrrr ….

Anyway, this Friday I’ll be meeting both the aircon company and SS on site to sort everything out and to also decide on where the upstairs vents will go.
