A lot of progress on the house last week, namely the start of the electrical rough-in and the Air Con install, the bricks, windows and sliding doors were also delivered ready for work to start on Monday.
We have a bit of a rant aimed at the Air Con install as we weren’t notified that the installers and the electrician were on site and the air vents for the ground floor have not been placed in what we consider to be the ideal areas and the pipework coming from upstairs to the home theatre and living room has also resulted in us losing about quarter of the upstairs linen cupboard and some of the walk-in wardrobe. Considering there were heaps of plumbing stacks in the house we would have thought they would be used instead of impeding on storage areas.
After a visit to the site today to meet with the SS we were told that we should have asked to be on site when the Air Con was being installed to dictate the locations which we were never told about, so the SS is arranging for the Air Con guys to meet us on site to see what can be done about changing some of the locations and to also decide on the top floor ones before it’s too late. He did warn that there could be costs involved in getting them to relocate things which we will not be happy about paying…..
We also got an antenna guy out to install the aerial on the house read y for the electrician to hook it up to the 4 TV points.
